Nexukin

Nexukin are strange creatures, from an unknown planet. The planet they live on is made out of two regions: a wide forest region, and a mountain region. The species live there, in both. But, their is a difference between them: Mountain Nexukin have wings, Forest Nexukin don't. Mountain Nexukin can't actually fly, but their wings allow them to glide and jump higher. Also, with years of evolution, their bones are lighter as well, but this doesn't change their body shape, only their weight. Forest Nexukin are the stronger of the two, but not as speedy. They are however very good at climbing trees to catch prey foul. Their bones are Heavier, and thus they can't live in the trees.
now, in some cases, Forest and Mountain Nexukin have changed regions, but either are driven back or killed due to unfamiliar environments.
Neither species hate each other, but rather they keep in mind with their respective regions.

Now, onto the genders.

The two genders are very, very similar, with only a few differences.
The males have more jaw so to speak, and they can open their jaws very wide to revel their sharp teeth, which are used for battling other males for dominance of territory and a mate.
They have three sinhorns on the back of their heads, which serve no purpose other then to impress females. The longer and sharper the horn, the more strong the male is. Even if the male is super tiny, if he has the sharpest horns, watch out.

Males are very very protective, and very dominant. However, when choosing a mate, they act somewhat like a gentlemen to the females, as they want to prove they are trustworthy enough to raise the young. They are the ones responsible for the food and shelter, and for protection.
Females are the gentler of the kind, but that doesn't mean they aren't deadly as well. Their flat teeth can also damage, but not as much as the male's teeth can. As well as the flat teeth, there aren't many other differences. One is the fact they have two sinhorns instead of three. Other time, the third horn has grown less and less, until there hasn't been any sign of it. Another difference: their chests. The chest accommodates the necessary fluids to give birth to the young, as their waist connecting to their pelvis is so small, it has pushed the vital organs up.

Now, in between both gender's three legs there are the orifices used for excrement, birthing, and the glands for mating.

Now, as a male, he must seduce the female at first, very much like human's flirting. This process takes a while to develop, so the female has time to adjust to the male's actions. The rest of process is, again, like human's mating rituals.

Once the two have identified they they want this Nexukin to be their mate, they start to preform a sort of dance, and mark their mate to prove that they belong to each other. This can never be undone, so they have to make sure that this Nexukin is the one. It's sort of like a wedding.
Anyways, after that, they actually mate.

Because of the different glands needed to reproduce, mental thinking and the natural evolution of life, males don't choose another male as their mate, and likewise with the females.

Okay, going back to the race in general.

Now, every Nexukin is different, many are born with different appendages such as a tuft of fur beneath their neck, an extra horn, their shoulders could be spiked as well, or even (in rare cases) an extra leg.

The general color of the race doesn't change, they are all a lightish brown-a dark tan color.

The Mountain Nexukin have membrane wings, a shade lighter then of their skin.

Females, if their mates die, cannot choose another one. They won't take care of their young, so they will die as well. Likewise with males.

When they do die, their large eyes (used to see since their planet is constantly dark) turn all black, and stay that way.
Nexukin have emotions, very much like humans. They can feel every emotion, like happiness, sadness, anger, love, joy, and pleasure.

Mountain Nexukin actually feel more pleasure due to their nerves in their wings.
Nexukin, as well as having extra appendages, can also have marking. These are usually different colors from their skin, but even if a male was beautiful, it was his personality that would win a female.
